Southern Tier Independence Center is a disability rights organization whose mission is to shape a world in which people with disabilities are empowered to live fully integrated lives in their communities.
As part of Mental Health Awareness Month this May, we are planning a project to transform a long hallway in our building into an interactive chalk wall/mural that will feature prompts, affirmations, and kind messages centered around mental health and resilience.
We are currently looking for support with conceptualizing and mapping out the design for the space and thought this could be a meaningful way for students and staff to contribute to a community-based project that promotes mental health awareness.
